Debian as a Hazardous Workplace Where No Accountability Exists (Nor Salaries)
THE FSFE (or FSF-EEE) is still 'employing' children (bad PR instrumentalisation) and Debian causes people to die, then covers up the deaths, whether by suicide or depression (alcohol dependence) or lack of sleep (leading to accidents, medical conditions etc.) so we need to talk about it.
In the coming 1-2 days we'll repost some older articles about Debian-connected people dying. As we noted here before, a former Debian Developer hosted this site a few years ago (it was his server). He died in a car accident, so we needed to swiftly relocate everything.
The death rate in Debian seems unusually high. It doesn't seem like a "safe space" at all (and that has nothing to do with views expressed by people; it's due to demanding and overambitious people like Mark Shuttleworth).
We need to assess the systematic exploitation of skilled developers by free 'riders' (or freeloaders) like Google, IBM, and Microsoft. It's a massive and ever-growing problem. But a bit of a taboo. █
