Croatian Media on Fake Diplomas and the EPO Connection

Željko Topić & Co. under the radar again

Topić letter

Summary: The Topić 'diplomagate' is back, at least in Croatian media, while he also faces lawsuits (now that his diplomatic immunity is no more)

A couple of years ago we showed that Benoît Battistelli had given more powers to Željko Topić, the 'bulldog' of the European Patent Office (EPO), who is nowadays facing the courts in Zagreb (his immunity ended at the start of this year, years after he had refused to even attend the courtroom). According to this new article (in Croatian), which a reader tells us "updates the fake diploma of Mr. Željko Topić through the Ministry of Education Republic of Croatia," new revelations may yet come. "Since 2012 the investigation on Mr. Topić was obstructed," the reader added.

“Since 2012 the investigation on Mr. Topić was obstructed.”
      --Anonymous
"The investigation is carried out as part of a national investigation of about 60.000 diplomas in Croatia," this reader continued. "In addition, the text talks about conflict of interest in the State patent office while Mr. Željko Topić there was a director who runs until today."

Key documents and photos, also in Croatian, are added below for future reference/use.
